As a substitute to traditional generators, inverters can be employed in case of mains failure. Utilizing inverters rather than generators we can eradicate issues such as inefficiency, waste of fuel, pollution for a small benefit as also noise, bulkiness & manual effort and the changeover time involved as a consequence. Inverters supply AC power in case of mains failure, from stored DC energy in the batteries. Further high speed electrical switches and transformers are used to convert DC to AC.
